A self-hosted WordPress blog is the best option for bloggers who want to monetize their blog and make money blogging. WordPress is the most popular blogging platform in the world and it powers over 30% of all websites on the internet. There are two options for hosting your WordPress blog: WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
WordPress.com is a free platform that allows you to create a blog with a subdomain (yourblog.wordpress.com). While you can upgrade to a paid plan to remove the WordPress.com branding from your site and get access to more features, most bloggers use the free version of WordPress because it’s good enough for beginners and it’s free!
